Hot Butter Rum
Hot Buttered Rum, a souped-up, left-coast string band, is the brainchild of uniquely gifted musicians who weave their love of bluegrass, folk, jazz and soul into a riveting strain of Americana. String bass and five-alarm fiddle merge with guitar, banjo, mandolin, drums and keyboards to frame the voices of its two contrasting writers, fueling a dance party with roots in Appalachia and its branches in California. It’s a sound that’s as tough to describe as it is easy to love. Twenty years into its journey, HBR's music, dreamed up in the backcountry of the High Sierra and the basements of San Francisco, has found its way into the hearts, minds and bodies of fans nationwide. The band continues to tour year-round in support of its many albums and social causes. Don't miss the chance to see them soon!.

Jordan Bush & The Packrats
The Packrats are a Southern California banjo-bass duo. Longtime friends and collaborators Jordan Bush and Armando Wood have been building up an expansive collection of vintage jazz, blues, and country songs for the last fifteen years and have become known for their lively and eclectic performances. They have been long time participants of the Topanga Canyon Banjo Fiddle Contest winning multiple first prizes and recently promoted to judging the contest. They performed on the festival’s Tiny Porch Stage in 2024 and are excited to share their “used songs” to at the Atascadero 4 th
of July Celebration.

The Doohickeys
consists of singing and writing duo Haley Spence Brown &; Jack Hackett. Haley hails from Liberty, Missouri, where she spent her childhood training horses and helping on her grandpa on his cattle farm. Jack grew up in a strict Japanese- American household in Atlanta, Georgia where you had to take your shoes off at the door (everything else was pretty lax).

Although they have country roots, the duo met at USC (FIGHT ON!) while working on the college TV station’s satirical news show. On one fateful evening, Jack was hosting a legendary Halloween party when Haley heard the sounds of Kenny Chesney echoing through the spookily decorated halls. Right then, they discovered their mutual love of country music. The next day, they wrote the song I Wish My Truck Was Bigger. Their debut album “All Hat No Cattle” has charted at #1 on the Roots Music Report and #21 on the Americana Radio charts. They also currently have 3 singles on SiriusXM’s Outlaw Country. Their music video “Rein It In Cowboy” won the American Songwriter Magazine Road “This Town Sucks” earned an award for Outstanding Songwriting in the 2023 Great
American Song Contest.

Tri-Cities Community Band

The Tri-Cities Community Band is an exciting joint venture between three community bands in SLO County - the Atascadero Community Band, the Morro Bay White Caps, and the SLO County Band. Members from all three bands will be joining together for the July 4 concert for the first time!

Volunteers are the heart of 4th of July Festival,
as theevent is put on by volunteers.
The more hands we have, the lighter the work. While we have volunteers that work year-round to organize the event, we also need many volunteers the weekend of the event and the week before, as well as to plan and execute different tasks throughout the year.
